What is on the back of a US dime ? It looks like a torch of some sort with two plants flanking it. Is that Holly on the right and a crocus on the left ? Wild guesses.....

Ok, time to google it. (Oh blogger, really, google is a word. Wake up and smell the coffee.)

Oh looks like it is an olive branch and an oak branch. Oak for WWII victory and olive for peace. Torch for liberty.

Found the dime in the Fred Meyer parking lot. I was leaving after buying some wood sealant for some outdoor furniture. I also bought some organic bananas, but forgot to get some Tofutti Cuties.
